Photophobia

In Photophobia, I wanted to capture the sharp, often painful intrusion of light. The composition is defined by aggressive geometric shards, stabs of white and pale pink, that slice through an atmospheric background of deep teals and violets.
I used a glitch aesthetic here, incorporating jagged, stair-step lines and flickering patterns to suggest a disruption in visual processing. The dark, diagonal beams act as structural blinders, representing a desperate but often failing attempt to shield oneself from the piercing, luminous elements that feel like they are stabbing the field of vision.
